Welcome! My name is Imani D, founder and owner of Imani D. Artistry. Growing up, I was always interested in things that would make me feel beautiful or glamorous. I remember when I was a little girl, I would sneak into my mom’s dresser and apply some of her lipstick and blush. I started doing makeup on myself at the age of 18. Like most makeup lovers, you start out with the basics like the mascara and the mini eyeshadow palettes from your local beauty supply store. When I reached my second year of college, I became deeply invested into the beauty world, but I still couldn't see myself becoming a makeup artist. Three years after graduating from college, something pushed me to begin researching and understanding what it took to become a Freelance Makeup Artist. I learned so much from researching different skin types, to understanding color theory and undertones, it basically became an obsession. One thing led to another and, here I am.

As a makeup artist,  it is my mission to provide my clients with the best experience and overall customer satisfaction. I want my brand to be surrounded by nothing but positive and great energy. I believe in what you put out is what you receive, as long as I continue to represent my brand in a positive light, I know I will succeed and bring joy.
